This program provides services for adults (ages 18 and over) with disabilities who want to determine their work abilities or locate work opportunities. Acceptance into the program is based on our ability to meet an individual’s specific needs, availability of funding, and the individual’s on-going desire to participate in the program. Training predominantly takes place within our manufacturing plant. Program participants earn wages for the work that they perform.

Vocational Evaluation is a way to determine strengths, interests, and abilities through formal testing and workplace observations. Vocational evaluations last approximately 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the consumer's scheduling requirements. Evaluations occur at the CCAR Manufacturing Plant or at a community employment site. Consumers earn wages for the actual work performed during the course of their vocational evaluation. Most individuals who enter Manufacturing Plant programs complete an evaluation prior to program assignment.

Supported Employment is designed to provide community employment for individuals with disabilities who require job coach supervision and other assistance in the workplace to maintain employment.

Placement Services is designed to be a shorter term program to help individuals in locating, obtaining, and keeping a community job. Staff can also assist individuals in understanding the impact of working on their benefits. Individuals in this program would need to be eligible for and/or already receiving services from the IL Division of Rehabilitation Services.
